Yeah. I prefer it. Even with the smaller player base, I still make a lot of PVP contact. There also seem to be more infected and animals. The norther map is for early spawn PvP, mid map gets more geared PvP and the south is for bases and PvE. You'll find yourself having to fight animals a lot more.
